Mens Lightweight Down Hoodies offer greater warmth than full zipped versions making them ideal as an insulation layer when walking.
The shell of these jackets is manufactured from ultralight down-proof mini ripstop fabric that is extremely breathable, windproof and water repellent*. Narrow baffles in the fabric are constructed using micro-stitch-through techniques to prevent down migration through the cottons and to provide excellent down stabilisation.
All Sub Zero down hoodies are filled with the finest grade of ethically sourced European hydrophobic goose down and feathers to a composition of 90/10. The durable water repellent (hydrophobic) treatment repels moisture, enabling the down to retain its loft in damp weather and to dry quicker when wet. With 750+ fill power and a total down content of 143g (large size), this makes these insulated down hoodies one of the warmest in their class.
Two zipped hand warmer pockets and a zipped left hand chest pocket have textured pullers for better grip, whilst inside you will find a zipped mesh chest pocket and a elasticated storage pocket. The half length zip has a wide baffle on the reverse to protect against wind penetration as well as a micro fleece chin guard. All the zips used in these down hoodies are supplied by YKK for unparalleled quality and reliability.
The fit is generous but not voluminous, allowing base layers and mid layers to be worn underneath when outdoors. Single handed operation drawstrings on either side of the body allows the wearer to fully adjust the hem of the jacket for a close fit, and the elasticated sleeve cuffs provide a snug fit on your wrists to prevent wind and cold penetration. The insulated baffled hood incorporates a single handed drawstring on its reverse and at the front to allow for a close fit to every head shape. A small back drop on the reverse provides lower back protection when sitting down, and reflective logos on the chest and the back neck increase your visibility. When not in use, these insulated down hoodies can be packed down in to a compact stuff sack (included) for storage in a jacket pocket or rucksack.
* The micro ripstop shell fabric is waterproof but the stitching and zips are not, so water will eventually permeate through these areas.
